The Wreath-Cycled Collection

This year sees the launch of The Wreath-Cycled Collection.

This event, due to be held annually and brought to us by the Robert Bateman Foundation, challenged local artists and businesses to make a holiday wreath out of recycled material only.

More than twenty wreaths were created and are now up for auction on UsedVictoria.com with all proceeds raised going to the Robert Bateman Foundation.

The easiest way to find these wreaths on our site is to search the hashtag “#FindChristmasHere” as this will display the full collection.

To place a bid on a wreath, just use the “Email Seller” button top right on the page you are viewing to send in details of your bid.

You can see all of these wonderful creations in the flesh, and vote on your favourite by heading down to the new Robert Bateman Centre which is located inside the old Steamship Terminal Building, 470 Belleville Street,Victoria, V8V 1W9.

The wreaths will be displayed from November 21, 2013 until January 5, 2014.

UsedVictoria.com did indeed submit a wreath-cycled creation of our own, with our talented Art Director, Andrea, turning some discarded fabric and other bits and bobs into a beautiful and classy creation worthy of your votes and bids.

You can bid on the UsedVictoria.com wreath here and check out Andrea’s process in this blog post here: UsedWreath.
