Wanted! Savvy Online Sellers…Bring Us Your Clutter and You Could Win $1,000!

September 9, 2013

VICTORIA, BC – Used.ca is reminding users that just three weeks remain in its Post to WIN contest and is also announcing that later this week two iPad minis will be given away. To qualify for a chance to win one of these two mid-contest iPad minis, simply upload a household item for sale, trade or free on your local Used.ca site by September 15, 2013.

A total of $4,000 in prizes will go to four lucky winners selected on September 30, 2013. The contest is open to users who post items in the household category (with an image) on Used.ca sites across Canada and the U.S. Each post results in an entry in the contest. There is no limit to how many items a user can post.

The contest has been a big success for the environment and for reducing household clutter. Used.ca has managed to keep 47,258 items out of the landfill so far and helped 28,620 households de-clutter.

“Nothing beats the feeling you get when you clear out unused items and create clean open spaces in garages, basements or closets,” says Lacey Sheardown, marketing director at Used.ca. “Well one thing does actually – winning prizes like iPad minis or $1,000!”

Users can enter by following these easy steps:

  • Find your local Used site here
  • Select the Place an Ad tab
  • Select the Household Category in Stuff Classifieds
  • Choose a specific category for your item
  • Complete all your listing details and remember you must include an image of the item to qualify

Users are automatically entered into the Post to WIN contest (via a pre-selected check box) for every item they submit.

For more information visit the Post To WIN page on Used.ca.
