UsedVancouver.com is proud to announce its participation and sponsorship of The Original Bridal Swap Sunday, April 7, 2013 at the Roundhouse Community Centre in Yaletown.

The event offers local brides a chance to save money and past brides a chance to sell wedding items and recoup some of their wedding expenses. Bridal Swap connects past brides and brides-to-be in a fun atmosphere so they can buy and sell gently used wedding items.

“We are thrilled to be involved because this event is such a great fit for UsedVancouver.com,” said Lacey Sheardown, Director of Marketing for Used.ca. “Our sites offer an online Bridal Swap 24-7 and we encourage past brides to post any unsold items after the event on UsedVancouver.com.”

Wedding is a popular search term on UsedVancouver.com and on Used.ca city sites across the country. There are wedding dresses, bridesmaid dresses, reception supplies and requests from brides for services like hair, makeup and photographers. Whether they find gently used items online or at the swap, brides will also be helping the environment by showcasing special touches at their weddings that incorporate sustainability, up-cycling and recycling concepts.

At the Bridal Swap, brides-to-be can shop for everything for their wedding including gently used dresses along with services and décor. Past brides can register their own table to sell items, or if they just have a few wedding odds and ends, they can donate those items and proceeds of sales will go to Vancouver homelessness charity streetohome.   

The Bridal Swap runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 7. The location is the Roundhouse Community Centre at 181 Roundhouse Mews (corner of Davie and Pacific). Tickets are $12 plus tax.
