UsedVictoria.com strives for safety online and off-line

Staff raising funds for Victoria Youth Outreach Team at the 13th Annual Victoria Mayor’s Golf Tournament.

VICTORIA, British Columbia – September 22, 2010 – Online safety is an everyday mission for the staff at UsedVictoria.com. On September 22nd, the UsedVictoria team will be going beyond the walls of the internet to raise funds for the Victoria Youth Outreach Team (YOOTS) at this year’s Victoria Mayor’s Golf Classic.

Together we can build a strong community of families and youth.

A sponsored hole at the tournament will feature numerous games and prizes for all. Some anticipated prizes will be the elusive UsedVictoria.com travel mug, as well as the famous purple shopping bags you’ve seen at the grocery store, and possibly even some
donations from long-time users! The Youth Outreach Team (YOOTS) pairs a Victoria City Police Officers with a Youth Outreach Worker to help facilitate early identification and crisis intervention for at risk youth. Individual youth assisted by the Teams range from street entrenched youth, transient youth from out of Victoria, to youth from family homes, foster settings or other care facilities.
