Press Releases Assists Mom Undergoing Treatment for Breast Cancer

Vancouver, B.C. – April 17, 2013 is honoured to working with Sustainable Produce Urban Delivery (SPUD) and a local holistic nutritionist to provide a three-month-old baby girl with donor breast milk while her mom undergoes chemotherapy.’s Community Angels recently spotted a Facebook post from the mom (Kathryn) looking for donor breast milk for her baby (Linnea), while she is undergoing chemo. The Angels immediately moved into action and teamed up with SPUD Vancouver. Together and will donate eight weeks of organic food boxes to the family.

“We are humbled by this generous gift by SPUD and to make life easier during this challenging time. Thank you so much!!!” said Linnea’s dad and Kathryn’s husband Tom. M.

Crystal Di Domizio, a Vancouver childbirth educator and holistic nutritionist, has been the quarterback helping this mom find donor breast milk for her baby. The goal is to ensure the baby receives donor breast milk until the age of six-months.

“It’s been a special opportunity to help this family by working with local resources like SPUD Vancouver and Crystal who are working towards providing the gift of health to clients everyday,” said Suzanne Bertani, Social Media Producer. “We will keep a watchful eye on this family’s needs and hope they feel the warmth of the community while they tackle this difficult journey.”
