Used.ca Hands Out Supplies to Students and Offers Ideas to Help Save Money at ‘Welcome Week’ at University of Ottawa, Carleton and UPEI

Used.ca and its network of local Canadian sites including UsedOttawa.com and UsedPEI.com is proud to participate at the 2012 Welcome Weeks for Carleton, uOttawa and UPEI.

UsedOttawa and UsedPEI will take part in orientation week on campus where they will be providing lots of handy stuff including pens, bags, post-it pads and t-shirts to new students. They will also be offering tips to students to help them find the things they need at very low prices or sometimes even for free by being resourceful and utilizing online classifieds.

Booths will be set up on campus where UsedEverywhere will be raffling off great student prizes found on UsedOttawa and UsedPEI.  Students will also be given information about how they can find many useful items on their local UsedEverywhere city site to help them get outfitted for their first year on a tight budget—everything from textbooks to sports equipment to furniture and desks.

“We’re excited to be part of Welcome Week this year at UPEI, Carleton U and U of O,” said Julia Milstone-Turner, UsedOttawa.com Marketing Assistant. “We hope we can help new and returning students save money by finding used items to help them transition into another school year.”

Students on tight budgets can find used books, computers, desks, couches and even fridges and freezers for their dorm rooms or apartments on UsedOttawa and UsedPEI.

Here are a few examples of items students currently listed on UsedOttawa.com
