VICTORIA, BC – Used.ca today announced that they will be giving away prizes worth $1,000 to four lucky winners who sell, trade or give away household items from now until September 30, 2013. The Post to WIN contest is open to users who post items for sale on any of the UsedEverywhere sites across Canada, and the newly launched sites UsedHawaii.com and UsedSeattle.com.

Those looking to enter can post ads for household items they no longer need on their Used.ca local city site. Each posting will result in an entry in the Post to WIN contest. There is no limit to how many items a user can post.

“We thought this would be a fun opportunity for users who missed out on spring cleaning to declutter and clear out some unused household items from spare rooms, garages, basements or closets and at the same time have a chance to win a prize,” says Lacey Sheardown, marketing director at Used.ca. “We are strong supporters of the environment and this contest gives our users a chance to make cash, not trash.”

Users can enter by following these easy steps:

• Find your local Used site here

• Select the Place an Ad tab

• Select the Household Category in Stuff Classifieds

• Choose a specific category for your item

• Complete all your listing details and remember you must include an image of the item to qualify

Users are automatically entered into the Post to WIN contest (via a pre-selected check box) for every item they submit.
