Canadian Parents Save Money on Back to School Supplies on Used.ca

VICTORIA, BC – Parents in cities across the country including Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Ottawa and Charlottetown are finding savings on back to school supplies by searching online for gently used items.
Rather than automatically shopping for expensive new school stuff at department stores, parents are finding good deals on used items online. The savings can be significant, especially for bigger ticket items like musical instruments, trendy clothing and sports equipment.
“A top priority for all of our sites is helping Canadians discover great deals in their own communities, so back to school is a busy time of year on our sites,” says Lacey Sheardown, marketing director at Used.ca. “By shopping locally for used items parents can expand the family hand-me down concept to include their entire hometown by buying used to save money.”
Parents can also generate extra income and clear out some basement or garage clutter by listing used items for sale that their kids outgrew the previous school year.
