Laurel’s Whipped Shortbread and Molasses Crinkles

Whipped Shortbread

Ingredients

1 lb. butter (room temperature)

1 cup icing sugar

1/2 cup cornstarch

3 cups flour

1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

  1. Beat all ingredients together to whip cream
  2. Place maraschino cherries on top
  3. Bake 10-15 min @ 350
  4. Burns easy


Molasses Crinkles

Ingredients

3/4 cup vegetable oil

1 cup white sugar

1 egg.

4 tbsp. molasses

2 cups flour

2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. ginger

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

  1. Beat oil and sugar
  2. Add slightly beaten egg
  3. Add rest of ingredients
  4. Roll into balls
  5. Roll in sugar
  6. Do not flatten
  7. Bake at 350 for 7-8 min
