Selling a gently used BOOX Palma 2 (released in November 2024). If you haven't heard of it, think of it as a Kindle that fits perfectly in your pocket, but much smarter.

Unlike a standard Kindle or Kobo that locks you into one store, this runs full Android 13 with the Google Play Store. You can download and read from any app: Kindle, Kobo, Libby (for Greater Victoria Public Library books), or listen to Spotify and Audible.

It has the exact form factor of a smartphone, but features a glare-free, paper-like E-Ink screen that is incredibly easy on the eyes and readable in direct sunlight. It is perfect for distraction-free reading on the bus, in bed, or on your lunch break.

We upgraded to a BOOX with a larger screen. We loved the portability of this one, but realized we needed the bigger display for our reading habits!

A Note on E-Ink Speed:
Because this is an E-Ink device (like a physical book page), it does not have the instant refresh rate of a standard smartphone. It is designed for reading, not watching videos. However, it features customizable "Refresh Modes" (like HD for crisp reading, or Fast/Ultrafast for quicker scrolling) so you can optimize it depending on the app you are using.
