Clumping Bamboo ~ Fargesia robusta or rufa
This is a broadleaf evergreen, deer proof and drought resistant.
It's roots do not run, making it safe to plant in your landscape as it will only grow roots in a circle up to 3ft diameter with arching canes above which can be pruned to suit.
Cultivars available such as Sunset Glow, Umbrella, Scabrida, Little Red Head
