Meet Daffy

Meet Daffy or formerly, Daphne.
She is a beautiful large golden retriever mix with maremma, weighing about 110Ibs.
She is 6yrs old this August 15th and knows all of the basic commands; sit, stay, lay down, she is amazing as a walking/running partner.
I recently found out I am pregnant and no longer can provide the life she is deserving of.
Some things to consider about her;
She is very dog selective and can be reactive. She would do best only in a NON child, NON other dog home as she can be jealous and protective of her people. I would usually get her groomed 2-3x a year through Knotty Dogs Grooming and PetSmart and she loves going to the groomers and is fine with the dogs in the salon. She does she'd like a husky breed so the grooming is recommended if she is going to be an inside dog. She loves to be outside and is usually out on our balcony basking in the sun. Her parents are working dogs in Alberta for the RCMP Horse Boarding farm so the livestock/protection gene is very strong in her blood. I do have pictures of the parents upon request as well.

Please read this carefully as she is a bigger dog with physical needs and if you are not physically capable this is not the dog for you as she is very strong. She is a gentle giant but because her breed being a maremma she can get protective of her property and people and would be best suited with someone who can control her and correct her behavior.
I have tried every other route for me to keep her that I could and I post this with a very heavy heart as I have had her since she was 8wks old. She is a very loving dog who loves to go on adventures as well as be a huge snuggle bug.

She does NOT have any food allergies and her dog selectivity and no young children (as she could knock them down easily and has not socialized with any.) is the one thing I'd caution about her otherwise she truly is an amazing companion. She is spayed and has her shots although she should be due for more this coming Fall.
