Cherry shrimp ($2/ per)

Happy healthy cherry shrimp!
Great at cleaning and keeping a tidy tank.
I don't believe in culling my tank so they have lovely red patterns but no "fire red" colourings are available because of this. They are perfect just the way they are!

They don't thrive alone and will be more active when they are in numbers of 5 or more with good plant coverage... but 10+ is usually best.

Don't be surprised if you don't see them much at first. They are happiest hiding in foliage or coming out at night depending on what species they habitat with!
For context my tank has a handful of cory catfish and dwarf ottos with my cherry shrimp. They all love low lighting and a heavily planted tank, so make sure your conditions are right for shrimp before purchase, a bare tank will make them too stressed!
